Extracting images from Microsoft Word 2007 Document

Sometimes you might need to use the images on a word document for other things. A good example is a document received containing the images to be used for a web page design. These images can be quickly extracted without much work even if you have up to 200 images on the doc.

Two unique methods will be discussed here. I personally prefer the second.

METHOD 1:

  1. Save the document as a web page(HTML)
  2. Look for the folder containing the media files.
  3. Copy the files for your use.
METHOD 2:
  1. Download and install WinRar. It is free.
  2. Launch the application when done.
  3. Drag and drop the Word document containing the images into the WinRar Window
  4. Look for the folder named Word. In this folder you will find another folder named Media. Open this and enjoy.
